SHANGHAI – (AsiaNewswire.net) — A timeless hero of the Silk Road is returning in a new cultural adventure. Avanti: Smart Silk Road — Global Co-Creation Project revives the beloved wisdom and humor of the legendary “Avanti / Nasreddin Avanti” stories through animation, games, and interactive co-creation experiences that blend tradition and technology.
For centuries, Avanti’s tales have traveled from Xinjiang China across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and the Middle East, connecting people of many cultures through laughter and clever insight. They remain a shared treasure of the Silk Road — a symbol of wit, courage, and kindness that crosses borders and generations.
In the new story, a curious boy named Avanti and his high-tech donkey companion Lv set out from modern Xinjiang on a journey to rediscover the meaning of wisdom today. Along the way, they meet young friends from different ethnic backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives and personalities. Together they show that friendship has no boundaries and that creativity can unite all cultures.
Through a mix of short animated episodes, puzzle and adventure games, and digital co-creation events, Avanti: Smart Silk Road invites audiences to take part in storytelling themselves — not just to watch, but to imagine, play, and create. The project celebrates cross-cultural harmony, humor, and shared creativity in the age of AI.

Early pilots have already begun in selected Belt and Road schools, where students are engaging with teaser materials and interactive mini-games. Short trailers are now live across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, and the first mobile games will roll out globally in November — offering audiences a playful first glimpse into the new world of Avanti and LV.
Developed and produced in Shanghai, the project brings together cultural storytellers and technologists to present Chinese creativity to the world. With its combination of classic storytelling, smart entertainment, and open co-creation, Avanti: Smart Silk Road builds a living bridge of imagination from the ancient Silk Road to today’s connected generation.
