AUTHORIES in Myanmar have freed 78 Filipinos who were arrested and detained for immigration-related violation after being made to work as scammers, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Sunday.
The 78, according to the DFA, were trafficked for employment in scam centers in Myanmar and have been serving sentences for illegal entry and residency.
